About Liseberg
Liseberg opened as part of Gothenburg's tercentenary jubilee in 1923 and has grown into the largest amusement park in Scandinavia. The park combines roller coasters and modern thrill rides with manicured gardens, restaurants and a programme of concerts that runs throughout the summer season.
What it is famous for
- Balder — a wooden roller coaster repeatedly voted among the world's best.
- Helix, AtmosFear and other modern thrill rides for adrenaline seekers.
- A spectacular Christmas market — one of the largest in northern Europe — open from mid-November.
- Live summer concerts on the Stora Scenen open-air stage.
Good to know
Liseberg operates in seasons. The main summer season usually runs from late April to early October. A Halloween season follows in October, and the Christmas market keeps the park open through December.
